FOOD AND BEVERAGE

Cast members working in food & beverage provide guests with quality service and memorable dining experiences supporting more than 500 locations across Walt Disney World® Resort.

Seater

Seater duties include greeting and seating guests, managing the seating chart, using a reservation system, cash handling, rolling silverware, folding napkins, light cleaning and standing outdoors for extended periods. Seater is a non-tipped role.

Quick Service Food & Beverage

Quick service food and beverage duties include selling food, preparing items using kitchen equipment, handling food allergens, cash handling, bussing tables, cleaning, dispensing alcohol, stocking, heavy lifting and working independently or in a team. Role involves standing for extended periods.

RETAIL & SALES

Cast members in retail/sales areas create lasting memories by helping guests find the perfect mementos from their vacation in our various merchandise locations.

Merchandise

Merchandise duties include selling products, cash handling, stocking shelves, shipping packages, stroller/wheelchair rentals (lifting and stacking), food/candy prep, selling alcohol/tobacco and working solo or in teams. The role involves standing outdoors for extended periods.

OPERATIONS

Operations cast members ensure safe, enjoyable experiences at Walt Disney World® Resort through transportation support, guest advisement and area maintenance, directly impacting the guest experience.

Attractions

Attractions duties include maintaining safety, monitoring guest flow, assisting with ride loading/unloading, working at entrances, toll plazas, or parking areas (may include operating trams), selling tickets, delivering narrations via microphone and standing outdoors for extended periods.

Custodial

Custodial duties include guest interaction, cleaning restrooms, bussing tables, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning pool decks, and driving a golf cart. Work involves standing outdoors for long periods. A valid U.S. driver’s license may be required.

Monorail

Monorail responsibilities include assisting guests with boarding, answering transportation questions, using a radio, audience control, speaking over a microphone, and standing for extended periods indoors/outdoors. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.

PhotoPass Photographer duties include assisting guests with photos, operating digital cameras and technology, carrying equipment, engaging with guests, selling PhotoPass products, partnering with character performers, working in multiple locations and standing outdoors for extended periods.

Skyliner Gondola

Disney Skyliner responsibilities include operating the computerized ride system, assisting with boarding/exiting, delivering narrations, providing audience control, and ensuring safety. Duties also involve working at heights, outdoors, climbing stairs, bending and standing for extended periods. A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.

Watercraft

RECREATION

Children’s Activities

Children’s activities responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean environment, facilitating activities for children, prolonged standing, heavy lifting, working indoors and outdoors and providing first aid or basic life support in case of injury or illness.

Lifeguard

Lifeguard responsibilities include monitoring guest safety in water and on slides, standing for long periods, providing first aid or basic life support, detecting distress signals and demonstrating strong swimming skills. The role involves physically demanding work and exposure to outdoor elements.

Character Attendant

Character attendant duties include providing show info, managing audience control, ensuring safety, partnering with PhotoPass, maintaining character integrity, setting up stanchions, assisting with costumes and arranging strollers. The role involves standing outdoors for extended periods.

Character Performer

Character performer responsibilities include portraying costumed characters, working in heavy costumes, nonverbally communicating, signing autographs, posing for photos and interacting with guests. Special consideration is given to those 4'8"–5' and 6'–6'3". Audition required.

Costuming Operations
